5 Ways To Be Productive On A Rainy Day
You wake up, get out of bed and look out your window and it's raining. It's actually quite fitting that as this post has gone live, it's raining outside! Usually the one thing I feel like doing on a rainy day, is just getting straight back into bed again or catch up with some shows on Netflix. But the thing is when it's a rainy day, you can get so much done and be very productive. Here are a few things to do on a rainy day.
Organize your workspace.
Sometimes when I have been sorting out Uni work, letters and other pieces of paper, everything gets put right on top of my desk, and it becomes very messy and I can't find what I'm looking for. This goes the same with my draws, sometimes I just stuff everything into them. One thing to do on a rainy day is to organize your workspace. When I do this, I feel so much more productive and it motivates me to get things done.
Clean your room.
Like with the one above, sometimes if I'm in a rush, I just pop things down on the floor or on my bed. So I like to take some time and sort my room out, give it a hoover, dust etc and sort out my wardrobe. I even sometimes find things I have been looking for for a long while, or things I didn't even know I had. Sometimes if I am tidying my books in my room, I come across a book that I forgot I had.
Sort out emails.
I am one of those people who just doesn't delete and organize emails all the time. I won't even say how many I had to delete the other day! I've also started to put some in named folders that I want to save and keep. Sorting out emails is also a chance to go through and see if there are any emails that you need to reply to.
Baking.
One thing I really love to do is bake. I love looking through my cooking books and find something new and delicious to make. A rainy day is perfect for making some delicious treats in the kitchen. I also like to experiment and test out recipes ready to make for another day.
Social Media.
I like to sort out my social media accounts, for example I sometimes find that I am following accounts that no longer exist or groups I have been added to on Facebook. I also like to check messages on social media, as I always check my emails but sometimes forget to check my social media accounts for private messages.
What sort of things do you like to do on a rainy day?
