Hi everyone! I hope you are having a great week. You might remember a while ago I wrote about my favourite fragrances and ones which I have loved since I was younger and have continued to buy, Today I want to share with different scents that bring memories back to me, which includes past memories growing up and how the scents affect me now, the memories and emotions they create in the present time. I would love to know in the comments which scents always bring memories back to you. Maybe it's a scent that you haven't smelled for a while and as soon as you do, it brings back a particular memory?
I am very excited to share with you, a private range of fragrances, featuring a range of exquisite fragrances crafted with rare and precious ingredients, by Clive Christian. "The Private Collection is a striking suite of 10 perfumes that celebrate the extraordinary moments of a life's work brought to vivid, fragrant life. The result is a perfumed interpretation that feels contemporary, fresh and thoroughly befitting of today's fragrance tastes, whilst keeping true to the complex and intense concentration that Clive Christian is best known for."The new private range comes in gorgeous and elegant bottles. The fragrances include woody, floral and oriental scents. No.1 Masculine edition by Clive Christian is a luxurious fragrance, that has notes of thyme, which is roasted under flames of nutmeg. Lily of the Valley, including cardamom, pimento, artemisia along with the nutmeg, combine a tonic and navigates the citrus notes of bergamot, lime, Sicilian Mandarin and pink grapefruit, which give the fragrance a refreshing finish. Citrus perfume is a strong favourite of mine. The Base note of this fragrance is tonka bean. The tonka bean is fortified by the rich texture of golden Amber, sandalwood, which is known for its match-making properties and Madagascan vanilla, rounding off the fragrance is alabaster and with a light spritz of musk. There is also a feminine edition of this fragrance too, which sounds and looks amazing. I love the gold luxurious bottle that these fragrances come in.
"Clive Christian is the British luxury interiors and perfume company, with craftsmanship at its heart. With a passion for transforming the expected into the extraordinary, Clive Christian perfumes are uniquely complex and expertly crafted with the rarest, most precious ingredients."
I love lavender, it's just one of those scents that I could never get bored of. As a child, I had one of those microwavable bears to keep you nice and warm and the scent of the bear was lavender. Also as a child, my mum, dad and I would visit the Lavender Farm in Norfolk to have a look round and view the gardens of lavender. This where I developed a strong love for it and those are the two prominent memories I have of lavender. Even now when I see some lavender even if it's in a pot, I just have to smell it. I love when lavender is included in fragrances, as I find that it really does give it that little bit extra and creates a sense of nostalgia. When I smell lavender it makes me feel happy, a rush of emotion comes straight to me.
Citrus is another firm favourite of mine. When I was a teen I absolutely loved the smell of citrus in a perfume. My friend would wear a collection of perfumes and they would always smell amazing on her. Citrus scents definitely remind me of my teenage years, especially as I was experimenting more with perfume and discovering ones that I love. Pink Grapefruit is always a citrus scent that stands out to me the most.
Musk is also a scent that some people may not necessarily like, but I find it to be one of those scents that you can't go wrong with. I remember wearing musk as a body spray. Remember the Impulse body sprays! I was addicted to them. I actually really excited as I have just learned that they still make Impulse, A Hint of Musk. My mum would also wear musk scent and for me personally, I think it's more the emotion that musk brings back to me. It makes me feel all warm and happy.
I have really enjoyed writing this post and I'm so excited to share it with you. It's made me think so much more about the different fragrances I love and which ones really stand out to me. It has also made me realise more what I actually look for in a fragrance when purchasing one.
What are your favourite scents?
