Girl Online On Tour by Zoe Sugg | Book Review

Girl Online On Tour is the sequel to Zoe's number one best selling book Girl Online...

As a huge fan of Zoe's first book Girl Online, (you can read my review of Girl Online here) I was very excited when Girl Online On Tour was announced. I preordered the book from Waterstones and managed to get hold of a signed copy, which I was so happy about. As soon as I saw the links online to say there were going to be signed copies, I quickly headed over to the website and ordered a copy, although I did for a second think I wasn't going to get one. I was literally counting down the days until I would receive my copy in the post. The copy I got also includes a Bonus Chapter which is exclusive to Waterstones.

My review of Girl Online On Tour, is my own honest opinion and my true feelings as to how I felt about the book.

Penny is joining her boyfriend Noah on his European tour. But Noah has a very busy schedule and his bandmates are less-than-welcoming towards Penny. Penny also has horrible messages sent to her from very jealous fans. Throughout the tour Penny misses her family and best friend Elliott a lot and can't wait to see them again.

Don't worry if you haven't the book yet, I'm not going to give away any spoilers. Firstly I just want to say though how much I love the friendship between Penny and Elliot, (Definite friendship goals there.) Throughout reading this book, I felt so many different emotions, along with Penny I smiled, laughed, felt shocked and also had tears in my eyes, but also happy tears. I really connected with Penny throughout this book, (as you know, I love a book that does this.)

Although this book may be for a younger age range, (I'm 26) I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. As soon as I picked up this book and started reading, I wanted to keep reading and reading. This book had lots of twists in and a few cliff-hangers. I just wanted to keep on knowing what was going to happen next. This book is brilliantly written and wherever Penny was on the tour, I was automatically transported there and I imagined being there with Penny and I imagined what everything looked like.

Like I said above, I 100% enjoyed reading Girl Online On Tour. Although I'm 26 I feel that even people who are older than me would definitely enjoy reading this book.

Have you read Girl Online On Tour yet?

Deliciously Ella

Today's post is something I haven't done in a while, a book post. Also if you was wondering why this post is out today and not yesterday, I started my first day back at University as a second year Audio Production Student, I'm so excited. Yesterday we had a welcome back talk and it was nice to catch up with some friends, as I haven't seen them since we broke up for summer. (There will also be some University posts coming soon on the blog.)

As some of you may know I have IBS and I'm unable to have Dairy, wheat and gluten. I also can't drink alcohol as it affects my IBS and also affects my other health conditions. I have had to cut out onions, garlic and spicy food too. I also have Interstitial Cystitis, POTS Syndrome (Ella Woodward was diagnosed in 2011 with this) and Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia. Although my medication helps, cutting out these few things and changing my diet helps too. I am a huge fan of Ella Woodward and I love her website deliciouslyella.com. Recently Ella brought out a book called Deliciously Ella, It's packed full of tips, information, about Ella and lots and lots of delicious recipes that are free from dairy, wheat and gluten. There are over 100 sugar free, gluten free and dairy free recipes. There's still lots of recipes in the book that I want to make, each one looks so delicious and are easy to make. I love recipe books and it's so lovely to be able find one that contains dairy, wheat and gluten free recipes. Ella is also bringing out a new book soon which I am so excited about and can't wait to see the recipes in it. But if you haven't already been on Ella's site, I highly recommend checking it out. A while ago I downloaded the mobile app from the Apple store that Ella brought out, I love it, you can also find delicious recipes on there and how to make them. It's always being updated too, so there's lots of different recipes on there to make. Deliciously Ella is available in shops and also online.

Cutting out certain foods has been a huge help with my health conditions and certain foods can make symptoms worse. Sarah Carr recently said in an interview that cutting out certain foods has helped with her Interstitial Cystitis and made it more manageable. Although some people may say that changing their diet doesn't help, everyone is different, but sometimes it's good to try different things, such as changing your diet, because it may just help. Some of my favourite foods are, butternut squash, avocados, carrots, peas, potatoes, broccoli, quinoa, Violife dairy free cheese/spread and free from pasta. I love eating salads. One of my other favourite things to eat are Udi's Chocolate Chip bagels. I also love peanut butter.

Here are some of my recipes -

Chocolate and Orange Bread and Butter Pudding
Strawberry Jam Sponge Cake | Dairy, Wheat and Gluten Free
Banana and Oat Cookies | Dairy. Wheat and Gluten Free
Banana Bread | Dairy, Wheat and Gluten Free
Vegetable Pasty | Dairy, Wheat and Gluten Free
2 Ingredient Pancakes
Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chip Cookies
Peanut Butter Cookie
Homemade Dairy Wheat and Gluten Free Bread
Homemade Dairy, Wheat and Gluten Free Jam Tarts
Miffy Cookies | Dairy, Wheat and Gluten Free
Chocolate Chip Brownies | Dairy, Wheat and Gluten Free

Life.Love.Beauty by Keegan Allen

IMG_0028

I love books, I suppose you could say that I am obsessed with books. There are so many books I love and so many I really want to read. Ever since my mum taught me to read I've loved them. My favourite types of books to read are science-fiction ones. I love being transported in to another world, going on different adventures with the characters from the book.

As you may have seen in my previous post, I purchased a new camera. I have been wanting a new one for such a long time now as previously I have been using my iPhone 5 for all of my photos. From a very young age I have always loved taking photos. I love being able to capture memories and keep them in an album. I decided to buy the Canon 700d after hearing so many great things about it. It takes beautiful and stunning photos and I can't wait to start using it more. I've got a few places lined up that I really want to visit so I can take some photos. I love taking photos of nature and animals. I am still learning though, so I really hope that you like my photos.

I recently purchased a copy of Life.Love.Beauty by Keegan Allen, (Keegan plays Toby in Pretty Little Liars.) I've never really owned a photo book before so I was very excited when I saw that Keegan was releasing one, having seen his photos on Instagram, which are amazing. Every page is filled with beautiful photos Keegan has taken from a young age to the present. There are lots of gorgeous photos of the Pretty Little Liar's cast. Keegan has also included lots of photos of his fans, which I think is amazing and really adds a much more personal touch to the book. Each photo has a special meaning which includes a little bit about each one and he has also included some beautiful poems within the book. This book is very special to me because (other than being a huge fan of Keegan Allen,) this book has really inspired me with my passion for taking photos. Keegan really does take brilliant and beautiful photos. I highly recommend checking out his book.

You can purchase Keegan's book from Amazon

I would love to know in the comment section below what books you are currently reading.

Giveaway - All My Secrets by Sophie McKenzie

"A Master-class in tight plotting and suspense from the multi-award-winning author of Girl, Missing and Blood Ties."

Being the huge book lover I am, I was so happy when I *received All My Secrets by Sophie McKenzie to read. Sophie McKenzie published her award-winning debut, Girl, Missing, in 2006. Sophie had won lots of awards including national and regional book awards. Sophie has also been  a featured World Book Day author twice selling over 1 million books worldwide. Sophie's first book for adults, Close My Eyes, was a Richard and Judy Book Club choice.

All My Secrets is a brilliant book, and brilliantly written. From the first page I wanted to know more and was asking myself all sorts of questions. Evie suddenly learns the shocking truth about her family and also learns that she has inherited a lot of money (a lot of money.) Everything is a bit too much for Evie to take in straight away. Evie is then sent to an Island to go on a young adult development programme, but mysterious things start to happen. Oh, and Kit and Josh, well, you need to read the book to find out more about these two. I love it when a book really draws you in from the beginning. Whilst reading the book I felt very close to the characters and felt the emotions they felt, as there are so many different emotions felt within in this book. You can really relate to the characters, with going through life and finding out things you never knew before. I hope that there is a sequel as I really want to find out what happens next (Not giving anything away.) This is definitely a must a must read for 2015. I can't wait to read more of Sophie McKenzie's books, especially Close My Eyes.

"The shocking truth behind a massive inheritance turns Evie Brown's world on its head. Devistated by her family's lies and desperate to discover more about a secret which overshadows her past, Evie ends up at Lights - an island institute for troubles teens - where she meets the gorgeous but enigmatic Kit...

Rumour has it that Lights is haunted and soon Evie senses a strange presence following her. As she is drawn deeper into the island's ,mysteries, Evie realises that it's not just the past, or the dead, that she has to fear.

Trusting the wrong person could cost her life."

Dork Diaries, Drama Queen

IMG_5326

"Dork Diaries, the phenomenally popular series by Rachel Renee Russell is expanded once more with the release of the ninth book – Dork Diaries, Drama Queen."

As a huge book lover I am obsessed with books, from a very young age I have loved to read. *I was recently sent a copy of Dork Diaries, Drama Queen by Rachel Renee Russell to review. I love to be able to help out and as I am very passionate about books, I love to review books. Here is a little bit about the series and the author -

"The series has appeared on the New York Times bestseller top ten non-stop for over a year and the series has over 13 million copies in print worldwide. The books, which are the personal diary of 14 year old Nikki Maxwell feature drawings, doodles and comic strips that chronicle the daily drama in her life.
Rachel Renee Russell has said that this series was inspired by her own middle school experiences, as well as those of her two daughters, Erin and Nikki. Her older daughter, Erin, helps with writing the Dork Diaries series and her younger daughter, Nikki, helps with illustrations."

This book is brilliantly written and I love the doodles, fun illustrations and comic strips. I also love that Rachel's two daughters help out with the Dork Diaries series, with the writing and the illustration, it really gives it a much more personal touch to the book. This book is fantastic for the younger reader and especially of the same age as the characters in the book who are going through middle school. Mean girl Mackenzie has stolen Nikki's diary and through this book we follow Mackenzie as Dork Diaries takes a twist. But reading Nikki's diary isn't the only thing that mean girl Mackenzie is interested in. I have really enjoyed reading Dork Diaries, Drama Queen, I'm not going to give too much away as it's a book you really do need to read. I personally can't wait for the next book to come out as I really want to know what happens next. As you can see in the photo above how eye catching the front cover of the book is, I absolutely love it. I love a good front cover on a book as it's the first thing I notice when looking at a new book.

The other books in the Dork Diaries series all look so good, and their are so many great reviews on the whole series and I've read how people can really relate to these books and how they are helping them. I feel this is so important when a book can do this and is very valuable. There are so many different topics within this book that you can really relate to and I personally relate to during my time at school. The book goes through different issues that currently effect younger people who are at middle school, such as boyfriends, first kiss, school bullies and general every day to day school life.

You can find these books in local bookstores, supermarket and you can also find them online.

The Immortal Rules (Blood Of Eden #1) by Julie Kagawa - Book Review

The Immortal Rules

I haven't actually done a proper book review on here before, but i love reading so much and i want to share with you the books i love reading.
Im more of the science fiction type, i love a good book about paranormal-romance, vampires and zombies. Reading lets me jump in to a completely different world and join the characters for an adventure. Ever since i was really young when my mum taught me to read, i have always loved reading. I love that new book smell! I have so many books on my shelf and i can't wait to share them with you. I also have a Nook that my dad got me as a present, as due to me collecting so many books over the years i have run out of space for them! Don't get me wrong though, i love the feel of a new book and turning the pages when reading, but with my Nook i am able to store lots of books at great prices on there. Its also handy to take with me when i am out for the day.

Description of The Immortal Rules

"Allison Sekemoto survives in the Fringe, the outermost circle of a walled-in city. By day, she and her crew scavenge for food. By night, any one of them could be eaten. Some days, all that drives Allie is her hatred of them—the vampires who keep humans as blood cattle. Until the night Allie herself dies and becomes one of the monsters.

Forced to flee her city, Allie must pass for human as she joins a ragged group of pilgrims seeking a legend—a place that might have a cure for the disease that killed off most of civilization and created the rabids, the bloodthirsty creatures who threaten human and vampire alike. And soon Allie will have to decide what and who is worth dying for… again."

This book is amazing and i highly recommend it. You really get in to the book and you feel like you know the characters and become really attached to them. This has definitely been one of the best books i have read. I felt so many emotions whilst reading The Immortal Rules. I have read many good Vampire books but this one is at the top of my list.

You get to follow Allie from before she became a Vampire and her life as one. This is very interesting reading a book from the point of view of a Vampire.
Allie is a very strong and powerful young girl and overcomes a lot of obstacles and emotions on the way. Allie wants to be different to the other Vampires. On the way she meets new friends and new enemies. Allie is such an amazing character and as i said you really get to know the characters in the book and become really attached to them, so you feel the same emotion as what they are feeling.
The Rabids are horrible creatures and i really felt scared for Allie and her friends when these bloodthirsty creatures come in to the pages.

Im not going to go too much in to what happens in this book as i don't want to spoil it for you.

Julie Kagawa has also written quite a few more books and they look so good, so i can't wait to get my hands on them and read them.
Julie has written this book brilliantly.

I give this book a very high 5/5.

Bridget's Back!

Hi my beautiful readers :)
I'm sorry it's been a while since my last blog post. I have just been so busy with college work and work.
But i'm back.... and so is Bridget!

I have been waiting for so long for a new Bridget Jones book to come out. I am obsessed with the films!
I have yet to read this book as it only came out in shops yesterday. But i must say it looks so good :)

"Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, Fielding introduces us to a whole new enticing phase of Bridget's life set in contemporary London, including the challenges of maintaining sex appeal as the years roll by and the nightmare of drunken texting, the skinny jean, the disastrous email cc, total lack of twitter followers, and TVs that need 90 buttons and three remotes to simply turn on.
An uproariously funny novel of modern life, Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy is a triumphant return of our favourite Everywoman."

I really can't wait to read this book.

Please let me know if you have started reading the new Bridget Jones book.

I just hope there is going to be another film!
